Ah Palm Beach County, FL... The land of golf courses, polo clubs, beach resorts, boujee ballrooms and corporate venues with obscenely overpriced steak tartare. Not your scene? Yeah me either! But I do live here, and I have recently uncovered some pretty damn good alternatives to the typical "wedding-y" spots. So if you happen to be getting married in this neck of the woods, and are trying desperately to avoid the seemingly endless search results for barf-tastically outdated wedding venues, and instead are looking for something a little more creative, eclectic or dare I say "off beat", then this is the list for you!
As a traveling wedding photographer, I've seen all kinds of weird and amazing places to tie the proverbial knot... From the wild and rugged outdoors, backyard BBQ's, barns and warehouses, to modern takes on the traditional options like museums, gardens and historic sites. And believe me, Palm Beach County has it all! You just have to dig a little deeper, keep an open mind, and acknowledge that there are NO RULES to this whole wedding thing anymore... So why not swing for the fences and find a venue that truly reflects your style and story?
Whatever vibe you're going for... this is a great place to start! Enjoy the list!
Oh yeah, I also hope you enjoy browsing the scattered wedding photos throughout this post. If you want to see more, feel free to poke around my site, and regardless of where you're getting married, I'd love to hear your story and help you write the next chapter!
HOW TO USE THIS LIST
Ok, so this isn't a list of the most beautiful, or even popular South Florida wedding venues... IT IS however, a thoughtful look at some of palm beach county's most unique, special and understated event spaces. The idea is that you'll find a venue that initially speaks to you, and eventually inspires you to think more critically about making planning decisions that really celebrate your unique relationship. As every story begins with a time and place... A wedding always starts the perfect venue!
Amongst this list, you'll find some hidden gems, some old classics, some newer 'blank canvas' spaces -- and some that require a bit of imagination for all you dreamers out there. I've done my best to categorize them based on vibe, and I've offered a quick note on my personal thoughts for each.
Now, there are links to all venue websites... but I have to say, not all websites give you a good idea as to the style and space they have to offer. So narrow down your list and GO SEE the venues in person. Preferably with your spouse-to-be, and if you want my input or guidance at any stage in your planning journey, then please feel free to reach out HERE.
At the end of the list, there are a few more 'tried and true' options -- Beautiful venues that aren't necessarily mold breaking, but that do a wonderful job of catering to the specific needs of their couples. As well as some recommendations for hosting a wedding on private property (like Airbnb or friend/family member's place).
But for now... I hope you enjoy my list of the Coolest Palm Beach County Wedding Venues!

PRIVATE RESIDENCES
As promised, here are a few tips for DIY'ing the hell out of your own private property wedding.
- Air Bnb! It's gold mine for nice big properties to host your wedding from prep to party! Just PLEASE double check that they allow events and pay the fees. It'll be worth it to have total control of the place from start to finish - unlike some stuffy venues!
- Food trucks for the win! If you're worried about catering, get with the times! Food trucks will have you and your crew stuffed and pickled for pennies on the dollar compared to the traditional caterers.
- Your rich uncle's sprawling acreage! Call in favors, bribe or even black mail people. Private property weddings are the best. Even if the house isn't amazing, if you have a big yard, get a Sperry tent or giant tipi and go nuts!
THE END
