One word to describe Victoria and Nate's wedding at The Ben... UNIQUE! Just like the couple themselves, everything about this day was unique and intentionally designed to tell their story in a way that didn't feel contrived, or like they were trying to conform to anyone else's idea of what a wedding "should" be. It was simply a day that felt like you were invited into their world, into their relationship, and shown just what they mean to one another and their families.
For instance, Victoria never carried a bouquet, never walked down an aisle and Nate and Victoria (and Nate's Dad) actually wrote, recorded and performed the songs that they danced to... WOW!
As a destination wedding photographer, I rarely get to shoot in my own city of West Palm Beach, Florida. But when I do, it's a real treat to approach the day with fresh eyes.
So when the time came to sneak away and roam the streets for some bride and groom portraits, it was awesome to uncover some epic locations just steps away from the venue. Oh, and yes I did shoot most of this day in color! But like I said, Victoria and Nate are unique, so I felt like trying something a little different and blogged this entire post in black and white. I hope you dig it!
